self portraits
A few years ago, I participated in a long-distance collaborative photo project with one of my best friends, Ashley Selby, of This Paper Ship, in which we took weekly self portraits and posted them together in a blog titled Face To Face. Regrettably, the project faded out when we both became swamped with the usual business of life, but the end result was a series of unique self portraits and a greater understanding of how to be both in front of and behind the camera. Even more special to me is that I can now look back on these photos and pinpoint exactly where I was at in life and how I was feeling because of having documented each week with a photo. These are a select few of my favorites from the year.
