pacific coast sunset.

During my stay in San Diego, I got to witness some of the most beautiful sunsets I've seen in a while. I walked down to the water one evening and snapped some shots while enjoying the cool breeze and gorgeous colors.  I just love how the water comes so far in, creating some great reflections of the colors in the sky. 10-22-09

wedding sparklers.

So, I have a ton of photos to be going through at the moment. Half of them are the result of my month-long travel via the JetBlue All-You-Can-Jet Pass, and the other half are from a high school friend's wedding that I shot halfway through my travels. The wedding photos take precedent, so I'll be doing my best to get those all edited so I can move on to the traveling photos, but until then, here's a preview shot from the wedding reception. The wedding took place in South Bend, Indiana. The ceremony was held in a beautiful catholic church and the reception was held in an immaculate garden Towards the end of the reception, a vase full of sparklers was brought out and the bride (Kelly) started lighting them and handing them out. This shot is of Kelly holding a sparkler during the last few moments before they all fizzled out and people started evacuating the tent due to the copious amounts of smoke.

seattle cloud cover.

This was taken in the Olympic Sculpture Park in Seattle. I spent a good bit of time enjoying the warm afternoon sun while walking through the park and checking out all the sculptures. By far, this one in particular was my favorite. It's called Seattle Cloud Cover, and it was done by Teresita Fernández. Here's a link to more information on the piece of art if you'd like to read more about it.
