florence.

Recently, I was reminded of the slew of photos that remain unearthed in my archives from years ago when I was jaunting around Europe. I figured I'd dig through them and see what I could find to post up here. This photo was taken late on a sunny afternoon from the Ponte Vecchio in Florence, Italy during my backpacking excursion in June of 2007. I have so many more photos from my recent travels to dig through and post, but it can be nice to reminisce on my past trips sometimes as well, so I might be posting more old-school stuff as I find them.

this is lecos croes.

During one of my days on the island of Aruba, I decided to rent a bicycle and ride around the island to get some photos of things other than the beach I'd been religiously laying on since my arrival. Lucky for me, I happened upon a fine old gentleman trying his luck at fishing off some of the rocks I was riding by. Even luckier for me, he was more than happy to let me take his photo and sit with him for a bit.

His name is Lecos Croes, and he is part of the most prominent families on the island. His father was a fisherman, and although he doesn't currently make his living doing the same, he loves to spend his afternoons with a line in his hand, hoping for a bite or two.

boston.

While visiting Sam and Brooklynne Peters in Boston, they took me down to the water near their apartment to show me a great view of the skyline. Lucky for me there were lots of pretty sailboats docked in the area to liven up the average "night skyline" photo that I try to avoid doing over and over. It was a beautiful night that couldn't have been better for photos.
